Rain Gutters

The rain gutters for the Uhlmann Giant Umbrellas are conically manufactured, and when attached to the umbrella they provide a slight decline to ensure good drainage. Threaded aluminium pipes are inserted into the material sleeves and connected together to further improve drainage. The rain gutter is attached to the roof support by snap hooks.
Rain gutters can connect several umbrellas into one unit, or can connect an umbrella to a building. It is preferable that umbrellas have a valance if rain gutters will be used.

Side Panels

The use of side panels increase the practical use of the Uhlmann Giant Umbrellas by further protecting customers from the elements. Side panels are available with or without transparent (window foil).
Doors can also be cut and rolled up or down depending on the need. With the use of side panels, umbrellas can be partitioned into smaller, intimate areas. Adjacent side panels are connected with Velcro.

Heating

We have many years of experience manufacturing umbrellas with integrated wiring for heating and lighting. The infrared heaters we use for the Uhlmann Giant Umbrellas are safe, very small and almost maintenance-free compared to gas emitters. Another advantage of infrared heaters is that the umbrellas can be completely surrounded by side panels while the heaters are on.

The new generation of infrared heating elements (manufactured by Philips) are extreme shock resistant, provide 5000 hours of service life, use very little energy compared to other electric heaters, and are very efficient.

The heating elements use a frequency that is similar to sunshine. The heat warms the people sitting under the umbrella, not the air, that can blow away with the smallest breeze.

Don't try this "shock treatment" with your heater, unless you have taken it off from an Uhlmann Giant Umbrella!!!

Lighting

We are supplying lighting fixtures with our umbrellas in the past 10 years. With the Type T Uhlmann Giant Umbrellas the lamps are installed on the mast. Up to 4 lamps are available for the Type T umbrellas. For the larger Type TL and TLx Uhlmann umbrellas, the lamps are installed on the roof supports. The standard for these umbrellas also 4 lamps, but on these models it is possible to install 6 lamps.

The power connection is by industrial plug, located on the mast or hidden inside the ground sleeve.

Printing

The most common accessory to any size commercial umbrella is a valence that is printed with the name or logo of the establishment. Excellent quality printing of name, logo or any advertising picture that you desire, on the cover of the umbrella itself, is also an option that we offer on our Uhlmann Giant Umbrellas.
